The Weekly Chic: January still giving us 2020 vibes but we're moving forward
By MBAchic • Issue #1 • View online
To think that a date change to January 1st would transform the world completely would be wrong, but… we’re not yet giving in to the chaotic energy of the past two weeks. Today in the US we honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Thinking about his lifelong fight for equality, on the eve of a groundbreaking inauguration, following a year that exposed and forced us to reckon with racial injustice, economic inequality and gender disparity, all while confronting our own mortality… it’s hard not to feel hopeful (and cautiously optimistic) for 2021. This year will be better than the last; the light at the end of the tunnel is dim, but we are better prepared (and battle-tested) for the challenges ahead. Here’s to envisioning a better tomorrow and to getting through it all, together.
If you’re reading this email, you undoubtedly hold yourself to very high standards (even in times like these); try to temper that and take care by giving yourself some grace and kindness as we round this corner.
Getting back into the swing of things, here: we’ve got a redesigned, easier-for-you-to-navigate homepage on MBAchic, we relaunched & continue to retool this email (for more of what you like, less of what you don’t), and our long-awaited member site is ready for testers like you (now is the time to get published, if you’ve ever been interested!). This space is ours and there are many opportunities to connect, learn and build your own platform here at MBAchic.
