Over the last couple of weeks, we asked you about the women who have inspired you over the last year – a year that challenged all of us, and everything we really know
. While the list is long, and this video just
scratches the surface, we’re happy to share with you our IWD video
celebrating some of the many
women who inspire our community (as many as a 30-second Reels will allow
). Thank you for sending us your favorite role models (see if you can spot yours) and thank you for reposting and sharing the final cut!
“A challenged world is an alert world and from challenge comes change. So let’s all choose to challenge. How will you help forge a gender equal world? Celebrate women’s achievement. Raise awareness against bias. Take action for equality.” — International Women’s Day Global.
It’s news to no one here, but as more women make their way into the C-suite and into leadership positions, business, government and society benefit. Our community and platform is focused on making investing in education and careers for all more accessible, with a goal to propel more women into bschool, the C-suite and leadership positions. Consider today’s #ChooseToChallenge message not only when looking at the systems around you but also in your day-to-day. Think about any preconceived notions or beliefs about how things are and “will be,” and challenge them in a way that makes sense and supports you and your community. Take care of you.
PSA: if you’re with a brand or organization or in a position to hire, please reach out to find out how you can tap into our growing global network of smart, ambitious professional women (and men). Reply or go here. If you’re job searching, companies like Pipeline Equity & Rosetta Digital are waiting to hear from qualified members of MBAchic (scroll to “Jobs” below).
It’s worth mentioning that while this email was prepped before last night’s interview with Meghan & Harry, a lot of the themes of challenging things that have always been a certain way that we see that are unjust and taking care of our own selves, come through (in a big way, still processing
). As always, if you’re ever in a position where you feel truly stuck, where you feel you cannot talk to anyone, or there seems to be no clear solution or path out, please reach out for help and do not go it alone. You have this community and here are some resources
we’ve gathered over the last year (see: Mental Health for Everyone
Wishing you a very Happy International Women’s Day and sending you good vibes for the week ahead. #IWD2021
