The Weekly Chic: 10 years of MBAchic & join us with Miss Excel & the NY Black MBA tomorrow

Ten years ago, I started MBAchic. This website, the concept of this community, this name and logo and yep, this pink, started out on my laptop in between job apps & case studies. Some more on that below, and why it’s a “kinda” 10th birthday but still worth marking:

10 years of MBAchic! (Kinda.)

I started MBAchic on April 25 2011 as a way to share my experiences & connect w others in my shoes. It was born out of my own need for help navigating bschool & career stuff like salary negotiations and figuring out what to wear to an interview.

Thanks for joining our conversation with Deloitte’s Chief Well-being Officer and Thrive Global’s Work-Life Integration Editor-at-Large Jen Fisher, and Morgan Stanley Managing Director Keren Ehrenfeld. Was not expecting how real this discussion got and truly appreciate the chance to dig into what wellness really means and how to realistically build it into your life and career for the long-haul. Stay tuned for some snippets from the convo and preorder Jen’s upcoming book before it launches in June.
Joining us tomorrow? Our deep dive with Miss Excel two weeks ago was excellent and we’re thrilled to add another session to the calendar. This time, we are talking about lookups and advanced pivot tables. These sessions are a great way to brush up on your skills or get ready for bschool if you’re headed there in the fall.
If you don’t yet follow her on social media, find @miss.excel for a preview of her lessons and join us tomorrow. Also bring questions, she generously offered to stick around until all of them are answered, so sign up to join us live.
Also if you or your friend run an MBA startup, reach out to join a special project (MBA grads welcome, too).
Sending you good vibes for the week ahead!
